Here at Maiafreia Kenya, we didn’t just start this journey because we love capturing moments.
We did it because we believe every couple and every family deserves their story told in the most beautiful, authentic way. Back in 2018, we saw something that made our hearts ache: too many memories were being captured in ways that didn’t honor the magic of life itself.
We couldn’t bear watching families struggle to find a photographer who truly understood the depth of connection — the laughter, the love, the quiet, life-changing moments that make this journey so beautiful. Lola, an internationally acclaimed portrait, events and lifestyle photographer.
Voted among the Top 10 Female Wedding Photographers in Kenya, Lola is known for capturing soulful and artistic fine art portraits that celebrate life in its purest and most authentic form. With a perfect blend of strong, simple compositions and exquisite mastery of light, she delivers images that feel intimate, honest, and full of life. Every frame reflects Lola’s spirited personality, passion, humor, and sensitivity.

From her early days in Russia to her now-global artistry in Kenya, Lola has seen the world through her lens.
Born in Russia, she holds a degree in Advertising and PR from Saint Petersburg State University and picked up her first camera at age 12. Since then, her work has graced magazine covers, advertising campaigns, and fine art collections around the world. She’s mentored aspiring photographers, worked as a press photojournalist, and even served as a TV presenter for Olympic Games 2012 programming. From Goa to Thailand, Tunisia to Turkey, Lola’s photography has spanned continents — and today, she co-owns Maiafreia Photography with her husband in Kenya.
